The Service Member Health BridgeAbout
Mission

A coverage bridge from service to civilian life.

We exist to make the 365 days after separation the simplest part of the transition, not the hardest.

Our Mission

Service Member Health Bridge began with a question that should not be hard: when a sergeant separates from active duty in June, who picks up the family's pediatrician in July? VA enrollment does not. TRICARE Reserve Select might. An ACA marketplace plan probably will — if anyone explains the Special Enrollment Period correctly.

We are a licensed insurance practice with one editorial focus: bridging VA, TRICARE, and civilian ACA coverage for veterans, military retirees, and military families. Our advisors do not earn more for one carrier over another, and they do not finish their work at enrollment. We stay through the annual renewals, through life events, through every coverage question that comes up after the uniform comes off.

The practice publishes its own editorial briefs because the standard guidance — talk to your nearest VSO, call the marketplace, ask your unit — leaves real gaps. Those gaps are what we exist to close.

From the editor (Leadership)

"The year after separation deserves the same operational rigor as the year before deployment. That belief is the entire practice."
